      Mobile phone is the means of communication that can be carried easily in pockets or bags. It is an amazing invention of science. It is used for transmitting speech over a distance without any wire or cable. Mobile phone has been widely used all over the world.
       A smart card is used I a cell phone which carries an identification number and stores personal data. Mobile phones contain systematically designed programmes. They store the personal numbers, which are dialed to talk to other persons. Some of the mobile phones contain the capacity to store a lot of information. We don’t need to connect wires to call through it. It is portable, so we can communicate with other people easily. We talk to others if we are on the road, office or at the time of emergency, too. It is equally useful for businessmen, teachers doctors and ordinary people. It used o be taken as an item of luxury a few years ago but its is an object of necessity now.
        Nowadays cell phones have been misused in various places. They are misused in schools and colleges. Teachers and students carry the cell phones with them. The ring tones in the mobile phones disturb the environment in the class and school premises. The students don’t pay attention to the teacher in the class. They listen to the music in the mobile phones. Some of the students misuse it in the exam to look at the major points, which is illegal. Similarly the criminals misuse cell phones. They can take the help of mobile phones to commit crimes. The children and adult misuse it by watching obscene films and pictures in the cell phone. We generally misuse it to talk for a long time on unnecessary gossips which cost a lot of money.
          Mobile phones are the gift of modern science and technology. They can be utilized for good purposes. Academic institutions should be made cell phone free zones.
