Telephone
The telephone is the
means of communication. An American scientist Graham Bell invented in 1876. It
is a very useful invention. It is no more an item of luxury. It has become a
means of necessity. In cities and towns, people have telephone to talk to the
people far away without going to them. Now the people in the villages also have
telephones.
The telephone is operated by electricity.
Wires connected different telephone sets. A telephone set has two parts-
Receiver and transmitter. We speak with the help of transmitter and hear with
the help of receiver. Every telephone has its number. In order to talk to a person,
we have to dial the number. The person hears the call and holds the receivers.
Then we can speak to him.
The telephone is the fastest means of
communication. So, it is useful in many ways. It saves our times, labor and
money. We can talk to a person for a simpler matter. We need not walk for long
distances to talk to a person for simpler matter. We can save time and also our
money. We can use it at the time of emergency. WE call to the doctor, an
ambulance, police, fire brigade etc. and
they come to us for help immediately. It not only saves our time and money but
also our lives and property. We can transact different business with the help
of telephone.
The telephone serves us in many ways,
but it has some defects too. Sometimes it becomes a source of trouble. We can
get bluff calls and wrong messages from bad persons. Some person tease us. We
may be in trouble when trouble when others misuse our telephones with negative
intentions. The charges of telephone we should pay. So, they must be utilized
properly and take advantage of them.
